Christina was raised in Stephens City, Virginia, a small town about two hours west of Washington, DC. Throughout middle and high school, Christina’s extracurricular activities were music-based- she played the clarinet and piano - but she was never actively involved in group sports. However, her passion for fitness developed while she attended James Madison University. She began taking group fitness classes at the campus’s university recreation center and fell in love with the team-like atmosphere of each class - something she had always been missing by not playing sports growing up. Her love for these classes and the companionship she felt with other participants is what inspired her to become an instructor.
Christina taught group fitness at JMU for three years before graduating in 2014 with a degree in marketing. She now teaches cycle and TRX at LavaBarre and loves sharing her passion for fitness with her clients. When she’s not teaching, she’s probably either enjoying a good book or the great outdoors (or both!).
Favorite body part to workout? Shoulders, back, hamstrings (do I have to pick one?!)
